Each person is 3 in 1

Each person is "three in one", i.e. what he thinks of himself, what others think he is and finally, what he really is
Three in one
There was a small kingdom in which strangely enough all people where quite happy and very healthy. In course of time both the ruler and ruled grew proud of this rare good fortune and claimed it to be a reward of their personal righteousness. Since all of them were healthy, there was no physician in the kingdom.

One day, a physician came to its capital city and was happy to find that
there was no other physician to compete with him in his profession in the whole kingdom. But whenever he entered into conversation with the people and enquired after their health, they would say: "Oh! We are Brahmajnanis, no illness can touch us. We are the fortunate few chosen by God and blessed by Him with health and happiness. Why do you tarry here, better go elsewhere to earn your living".

The physician however did not want to leave the city and was also hopeful that this snobbery of the people will not last long.

Once the king suddenly fell ill. The physician was summoned to the royal presence. He was pleased that God had given him an opportunity to display his talent. He treated the king with reverence and great attention. The king was slowly but steadily improving. However, he said: "Sir, I really thank you for your treatment but can you not cure me quickly? I am not used to lying down like this for days together". The physician wanted to teach the king and the people a lesson. He said: "Oh king, there is a quick cure, but I am afraid, I may not be able to get what I want for preparing the medicine". The king said: "you need not doubt the capacity either of my ministers or my people. They will be ready to procure anything you may require. They are all Brahmajnanis. They will not bother about any type of strain or sacrifice on their part to get their beloved king cured. Come, tell me what you want".

The physician said: "My Lord! I am glad that you are so confident". I require 1/4 pound of flesh from the body of a Brahmajnani - that is all".

"Oh! How simple!", exclaimed the king. The king immediately sent word to his minister and commanded him to get at once 1/4 pound of flesh of any Brahmajnani in the city".

The minister returned very late in the evening, very sad and dejected. The king asked eagerly "Why so late? Come on, where is the flesh?". The minister pleaded, "Oh! King, I am sorry, I could not get what you wanted. When I made the people know of what you need, everyone said: 'Oh, I am not a Brahmajnani. Do you think that Brahmajnanis will be found in cities such as this?' How can we say confidently that we are all Brahmajnanis?".

The king was surprised to hear this and looked at the physician pitiably. The physician said: "Oh king!, do not feel sad. This is the way of the world. One may claim to be anything but to actually live up to that high ideal is extremely difficult. You are now recovered. Nothing is wrong with you. I need no human flesh. I planned this little drama, only to let you know the truth. Pardon me".

Each person is "three in one", i.e. what he thinks of himself, what others think he is and finally, what he really is.

Dads Blessings “Paid In Full”

This a beautiful story on my facebook wall....

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man’s name embossed in gold. Angry, he raised his voice to his father and said “With all your money, you give me a Bible?” and stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.

When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search through his father’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. And as he did, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss Spirit’s blessings and answers to our prayers because they do not arrive exactly as we have expected?

Remember to Put The Glass down

I saw this onmy face book wall cant resist adding this hear makes a very good reading especially when one is feeling down

The Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it. He held it up for all to see & asked the students “How much do you think this glass weighs?"
'50gms!'..... '100gms!' .....'125gms' ...the students answered.
"I really don't know unless I weigh it," said the professor, "but, my question is:
What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?"
'Nothing' …..the students said.
'Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?' the professor asked.
'Your arm would begin to ache' said one of the student
"You're right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?"
"Your arm could go numb; you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!"
….. Ventured another student & all the students laughed
"Very good.
But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?" Asked the professor.
'No'…. Was the answer.
"Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?"
The students were puzzled.
"What should I do now to come out of pain?" asked professor again.
"Put the glass down!" said one of the students
"Exactly!" said the professor.
Life's problems are something like this.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.

It's important to think of the challenges or problems in your life, But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to 'PUT THEM DOWN' at the end of every day before you go to sleep...
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!

So, when you start your day today, Remember friend to ‘PUT THE GLASS DOWN TODAY!

Purity and Ganga

This is very beautiful story which was posted in Facebook I love to collect such story for reading ...

There lived a cobbler by the name Ramdas who lived and worked near river Ganga. A pilgrim group came there and they saw Ravidas sitting and fixing leather shoes. They gave one or two pairs of shoes for repair and asked him how many times he had taken bath in Ganga. He replied that he had not bathed in Ganga at all.

These pilgrims who took pride in their spiritual accomplishments sarcastically told him:

"We wish we did not give our shoes for repair to such an atheist who lived and worked near divine Ganga nadi and still never bothered to take bath in this punya nadi."

Then they gave him a coin as remuneration for mending their shoes. He refused to accept the money and told them that he never accepted money from pilgrims. If they are very particular, he said they could offer that coin to Ganga Nadi saying :

"Ganga Devi, this is an offering from cobbler Ravidas".

So they took bath in river Ganga and threw the coin in to the river and said mockingly: "Divine mother Ganga, here is an offering from cobbler Ravidas."

Immediately two beautiful hands appeared from inside the river and caught the coin with those hands and told: "I am so honored to accept this gift from Ravidas, the great soul. " Then she gave a beautiful golden bangle studded with precious stones to the pilgrims and told them that it was a gift from her to Ravi das.

As we can imagine, they did not give it to Ravi das, but took it to the king of Benares and offered it to him to please him. King gave the bangle to the queen and queen liked it so much that she wanted another one.

So king asked the pilgrims where they got it and they were afraid to tell the truth. So they promised the king that they would get another one and ran to Ravidas and fell at his feet and and asked him to get one more bangle.

Ravidas had a small container in front of him with water to wet the leather. He said:"If our mind is pure and if we love Ganga Devi, Ganga Devi will even come and stay in this container

." Then he asked them to look inside the cup and they saw another bangle in that water that matched exactly with the one given before by Ganga Devi. They could not believe their eyes. They took the bangle, prostrated at his feet and apologized for their treating him with disrespect.

Ravidas blessed them by praying to Ganga Devi and continued his job of mending the shoes.

It is our sincere attitude of surrender that matters and not nothing else.  ???????

May the Universe bless us with an attitude of total surrender!  ??????
