[29/5/2022, 19:55] Neelima Gudipati: Summary of the session:

Rajendra Hegde sir talked about sucking pests and biting insects.

The chance of pests/insects are higher in summer than winter.

Sucking pests weaken the plants by sucking from leaves - aphids, mealy bug and thrips are from this variety. Also they form a protective layer. Either jet spray or soapnut solution, herbal shampoo solution, neem based oil one will help with breaking this protective layer.Spray weekly once

For biting insects - best is to use crushed leaves of tulsi, nerium, neem leaves, whitex, lantana, basale - 50gms per litre and then soak overnight and use this solution for spraying. Biting insects will use swallow this and die.

For snails, try to collect at one place, keep tomato slices or marygold leaves and collect the snails and sprinkle salt water.

Coconut not flowering - give tension to the plant by hitting with an iron/copper nail

Coconut flowering but fruit falling off - boron deficiency, cover the soil with vegetable peels of 15 days to cover this deficiency

[15/06, 09:58] +91 99000 82028: Calcium deficiency. What you could do is - when you boil eggs, cool that water and pour it for your plants. Alternatively, dry your egg shells, powder it and place in vinegar for a day. Then dilute that in a 1:30 ratio and water your plant
